Our pastor is a classic example of one whose life's journey has been in all three streams of the Christian faith. As
an infant, he was baptized and raised in a liturgical & sacramental church. Later, as a teenager, he had the evangelical
"born-again" experience, and shortly thereafter received the "baptism in the Holy Spirit"; speaking in tongues at a charismatic
home Bible study. With the birth of the CEC in 1992, he was greatly relieved to discover that he was not, after all,
a spiritual "schizophrenic.
Although Father Mark received his B.A. in Theological and Historical Studies from Oral Roberts University in 1976, he did not begin his public
ministry until 1987, serving as the full-time prison chaplain at a state prison for men. Then in 1991, he became the
Executive Director for Prison Fellowship Ministries in Oklahoma. During his time with Prison Fellowship, he became a priest in the Charismatic Episcopal Church on April 26,
1996.
Holy Trinity Church was birthed in the Wallace's home on Trinity Sunday, June 2, 1996.
Although he is no longer engaged in active prison ministry, Father Mark also serves as the Chaplain for Hospice of Oklahoma City.
Father Mark has been married to Susan for 25 years and have 3 daughters; Andrea, Allison,
and Amy. Thanks to Andrea, the Wallaces now also have a son-in-law, Mr. Brandon Baca.
